At K9BU Dog Training, we do not use e-collars, or do alpha roles or yell at dogs.We do not do any of that. We use reinforcement, meaning doing something that increases the frequency of a behavior, which makes it more likely to occur. We also use quadrants from operant conditioning.Training is our life, it’s a passion and it’s my purpose to help you.

Initial Consultation
As you embark on your training journey, we need to see your dog’s body language and asses what your dog is communicating. This will help ensure a path in the right direction, uncovering things we might be missing so we can prepare with the right equipment and correct plan. If we go to play pickleball and bring a tennis racket or a ping pong paddle, it just wont work…

At k9bu dog training we provide specialized in home training through out San Diego and North county. Using positive reinforcement and science-based methods, we help dogs of all ages. No matter the temperament or background, we’ve got you covered.
3 Pack training session - $400
Get help with helping you prepare your pet for a new baby. You can also fix any obedience concern, such as jumping on guests at the door, counter surfing, teaching your dog to walk nicely on leash, and teaching basic manners. This package may be customized for your specific needs. You, your dog, and your trainer will meet once per week. Each lesson is 60 minutes in length.
5 Pack Training session - $600
Fix grumpy dog behaviors, such as puppy nipping, jumping, counter surfing, digging, excessive barking, house training, chewing, minor dog-dog or dog-human reactivity, barking, and more. Learn effective training techniques to establish better communication with your dog. Ensure a happier relationship with your furry companion by addressing problem behaviors early.
7 Pack Training session - $875
Your dog will be able to comprehend hand signals, making communication clearer and more effective. You will also gain the tools to address challenging behavioral issues, such as helping your dog stay calm in front of triggers like people at the door, other dogs. This will lead to a more enjoyable and stress-free experience for both you and your pet in everyday situations.
9 Pack training session - $1,100
Behaviors that are very concerning to you will be thoroughly addressed, including door manners, triggers that excite or arouse your dog, bolting away, nipping guests, jumping on people, leash reactivity or aggression, and ignoring you during high distractions. We’ll work on building your dog’s focus and responsiveness, ensuring they remain calm and attentive even in challenging situations. These improvements will help create a safer and more enjoyable environment for both you and your dog.
12 pack training session - $1,450
Routine training sessions will help your critter fine-tune and improve obedience skills and good manners, ensuring they understand and respond to commands consistently. These sessions will gradually introduce and escalate distractions, helping your pet build focus and self-control in real-world situations. Whether at home or in the park, your pet will learn to listen to you and follow instructions reliably, gaining greater confidence in your everyday interactions. With patience and consistency.
